Looking for Bangaiis

I'm a member of the Columbia aquarium club and was told there was a Bangaii cardinal breeder in Atl. I think her name be Sally? Thought you guys could help me out. Please send me an email if you have any info. Thanks

Did I hear someone call Sally? I recently (as of last week) donated my whole breeding system to teacher who is going to try and breed them in his classroom set up. His name is eric mau and he is on this bulletin board. Eric are you there? He may have some fry for you now or he will hopefully soon. The pair I gave him last week... the male was holding still. Maybe eric will chime in here or you can PM him "emau".

So what's my best option for finding a pair? I'd rather avoid the "buy 5 and wait for two to pair off" approach.

hamburgler: The only option I can think of is perhaps Inland Aquatics, they used to sell pairs but not sure if they are still raising the banggai. I've paired them up and the only way I know to do it is using small banggai (they are sexually mature at 5 months old), in a 10 gallon tank and watching their interaction when another cardinal is introduced. The important thing is to be able to get one out if it starts to get attacked. I have sold pairs before but the only true way to know a pair is when you see the male actually holding. When I first started my banggai breeding many years back I bought a captive raised pair (not form Inland) and after a year of them not breeding I realized my "pair" was actually two females.
