Local Source for Weldon Acrylic Cement?
Does anyone know where I can buy some weld-on acrylic cement in the metro Atlanta area?

I got the Weld-on #16 at Under The Wave.
Sorry Brandon, I think I messed up those pretty joints in trying to seal the pinhole leaks . Its a learning curve.
Next; I'm itching to get a table saw. What brands are good that aren't too much $$$$$; I'm thinking of maybe getting a Hitcahi at lowes.

Ill sell you mine!!!!!!
i need a bigger one anyways.
i have never used the hitachi before.
i do know that Delta has a decent machine at lowes. it has the stand and extension wings and a half decent fence all for about $350. im not sure what $$$$ youre looking at but there are many out there for $400. or less.
there are two considerations when buying a machine of this caliber. the size of the table, and the fence. almost all of the brands in this price range have a comprable motor and design. they are all lightweight, hence the vibration you get. most of the bech top models (with or without stand) use a similar style fence.
i would buy the best that you can afford here, the accuracy of the fence is critical, and how well it clamps down.
you can always add on to the table size if need be.
call me if you need some more ideas.
BRandon

I used to have a Delta 5hp with the 4-foot fence. Way huge and I backed off on wood working, so I replaced it with a Rigid from HD. It has 2-foot rip capacity on either side, wheels that you can raise up with a food pedal. It works great. I used it with a decent wood blade to make my sump. Not the optimal blade for acrylic, but the saw was good for the price. The fence is very smooth and accurate - stays square. It's heavy enough to be very stable and there's no vibration problem. It comes with storage for the fence and miter guage on the body, so you don't have to go looking for them when you need them.

I've heard that RIGID tends to make good tools; how much did you end up paying for yours? You can PM if you don't feel comfortable putting it in a post.
Buy the best you can afford...a lesson that has been driven home for me since I've been involved in this hobby. Thanks for the input and I'll keep you all posted!

I don't really remember what I paid. I believe it was around $400. That was 2-3 years ago. I bought it with 27 sheets of 3/4 MDF, some poplar to make face frames, hinges, etc., nail gun, and literally filled a basement room with cabinets over a weekend.

Heh... Oh, yea. Backed the trailer into the garage and unloaded them one at time. Heavy sons-of-guns. 27 was close to the trailer weight limit. If I remember right, 110 lbs per sheet (ouch!) Still have some scraps about.
Back to the topic at hand, I couldn't find Weld-On #4 locally, so I ordered online. #16 doesn't work so well for strong joints. Experts told me #3 was too thin.
