Large Orange Plating Monti FS

I've been out of the loop for a while, but have reached the point where I have to look for a better home for my favorite coral. It has simply outgrown its area and I'd rather let it grow elsewhere than have to keep trimming it back and altering its cool natural growth pattern.

I currently have a Orange Plating Monti/Cap that is a NICE BRIGHT orange (these pictures do not do the color justice) that I will probably have to part with in the next week or so. There are some pictures of it below from June/July. Since then, it has DOUBLED in size and is shading a couple of my other corals. It's one nice big piece about 9-10 inches in diameter 4-5 inches tall and has a number of nice layers. I would request that I can keep a small piece of it (broken from somewhere not noticable) to watch grow again.

This coral is definately a show piece and would look GREAT in anytank 100 gal or larger. It does grow quickly and it would be far to big for a 55.

Please PM me to discuss. I am asking $100 and for the buyer to pick up on the weekend (or Friday afternoon) sometime.

Please feel free to call me at 678-852-5608 with any questions. I do not have a current picture as my digital camera is now offically broken, but you are more than welcome to stop by if you are in the area to check it out prior to purchasing. I'm in Suwanee.

Thanks!!
Ryan Cassidy

PS. I also have a nice Candy Cane that needs to be fragged as well. Approx 5-6 heads on one stalk $15

If you would like a piece of the Cap, it can be found at Aquarium Showcase. They priced it at $280 (whole)........ As of Saturday. They did talk about fragging it. Dunno if or how that turned out.

no they are LPS, fairly easy to take care of.....you can feed brine shrimp or mysis they seem to like meaty food, and they seem to swell when i feed phyto plex. theyll do fine under VHOs i have mine under PCs

They are a LPS (Large Poylps Stony) and you really don't need to feed them directly in all honesty. I don't feed them directly, alhough I do feed Golden Pearls.

Where do you buy that Ryan?

Man I really wish I wouldn't have seen your tank. I am shopping for some halides as we speak. Also looking for a used 90 gallon. If seems to be perfect in size IMO. If anyone has a used 90 let me know.....

Later
