Well it's most of the way in but not totally!
The dumb moving company only sent 5 people when I told them at least 10! :furious:
Anyway, here are some pics of them getting it where it is now.
Unloading from the truck:

Moving it across the yard. The general Idea was to put it on 3 furniture dollies and put plywood down overlapping to go through the yard. The fence has a big opening and that was no issue and fortunatly it was already on it's side so once uncrated it came through the door like butter!

Pic of uncrating right outside the door:

Once in the door it was easy to roll into the fish room. I'm not sure why they didn't want to spin it around in the open room but the guy wants to spin it once it's on the stand which is OK but it seems pretty pointless to me.
Resting waiting to go on the stand (backwards)

They are coming back Monday to finish the job!

I hope that isn't one of those "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a cheeseburger today" stories."

Good to know... I guess in about 8 to 15 years when I do a similar system, it'll be good know that it's 10 feet.

Whew it's officially in place!

I'm beat so I'll get picks tomorrow but I also cut and routed the starboard tonight and moved all the troughs and rock into the fish room (consolidating in the process from 4 to 3 troughs). I also installed three bulkheads in the overflow. For whatever reason when I ordered from Savko many months ago I shorted myself on bulkheads and need 4 more. I'll probably stop by Lowes tomorrow and see if they have any. If not then I'll order some more from Savko.

I need to pick up several other odds and ends so I'll probably be making a marine depot or PA order soon.

I also need to work on the electrical a bit. The plumbing will be pretty easy so I'm npt so worried about it,

I also need to pick up some black chloroplast for the back.

Anyone know where I can pick up some black silicone locally?

i've never seen bulkheads at lowes or hd, but MyReef has them, sometimes avarium has them, also check aquabuys.. but I know the last time I purchased any, to get local, picked them up from myreef in lville.

I've never seen bulkheads for sale in Lowes or HD either.

Now when it comes to a full selection of hose barbs, male and female thread barbs, unions, and such, Lowes can't be beat. HD used to carry them, but they're gone. Unless you want standard sized PVC parts, forget it.

Case and point: I dremelled out (is that a verb?) the side bulkhead hole on a 25 to fit a 1-1/4" bulkhead and wanted to attach plumbing to make a 90 degree turn down to my sump.

At HD, I was mixing a 1-1/4 FPT slip with a piece of 1-1/4 PVC (for which I would have to buy a 10' length), then a 90 degree elbow, then a slip reducer to 1", then a Slip-FPT, then a 3/4" MPT-Barb which was the largest hose coupling they had. While attempting to mentally put this together, I could feel a headache brewing for the inevitable "missing part".

At Lowes, I found a 90 degree elbow 1-1/4" FPT-Barb and I was done after a visit to the tubing aisle for 1-1/4" tubing.

Unfortunatly there is no way in the next several days I can make it to a LFS. I may have some time friday afternoon but heck by then I can have them shipped!

Well I did several things. Put the starboard in, cut a peice of acrlyic to silicone into the overflow so you don't see it from the front and gave the tank a good cleaning.

Here are the promised pics.

From the front

From inside the fish room (back)

And here is a picture of the sumps pretty much in their final spots.

No luck on the black silicone at Lowe's. I really need to find some pretty quick!

Handy Hardware has a good selection of bulkheads. They're all Sch 80, so the hole sizes will be different than the "normal" ones. I wouldn't be surprised if they have the black silicone as well...

They have black silicone at Pep Boys... I got some to patch up stuff for the Jeep. However, I'm not 100% sure if there's a difference between those vs. the HD ones in terms of reef friendliness.
