itch

Well yesterday i saw that one of my fish had ick. I thought to myself no big deal right....wrong. I had to take out all 130 lbs of live rock and i still couldnt catch him (royal Gramma). I decided to take out all the fish from my tank just to be safe and quarantine them all. My question is. How long can i leave my display tank fishless for the ick to be gone. ive heard three weeks. Thanks.

I would do at least 6 weeks. I have done 8 weeks to eliminate it. How are you going to treat the fish in qt? Copper or Hospo? If you do copper I would suggest Cupramine and make sure you have a good test like seachem for this type of copper.

Good Luck!
