Is Atlanta Aquaria legit?

I had ordered a tank+stand from them last week, which was supposed to be delivered Wednesday.. well that got postponed on their behalf due to the MLK holiday... so we agreed on today (Friday) and I requested delivery first thing in the a.m, I was then told I'd get a phone call the day before to arrage a time.
No phone call. Both me and my boyfriend called several times, no answer, so voicemail was left.

Today came around, still no phone call here at 3pm. We've been calling all day and not able to reach a live person. Again, voicemail not returned.

I wasn't going to be able to leave during work, so I ended up taking the day off, to sit around here and wait (for nothing). Our debit card was deducted the $600+ earlier this week, and now i'm wondering if we need to file a claim. I wouldn't be freaking out like this if there was SOME form of communication on their behalf!
This is a very poor way of doing business.

Chris is great to work with IMO. I have had several dealings with him in the past. He is just a one man operation and the tank maintence job keeps him very busy.

Hopefully he will contact you soon don't freak out just yet.....Are you still angry about those 11 sacks? WDE...LOL....

Good luck with the tank, what size did you get?

Thanks for the website gwen!

Clay, you secretly worship Bama (admit it)

I totally understand having a demanding schedule, but a phone call only takes 2 minutes. I'm getting a 125 (yes!) one way or the other..... I just got in some sweet LR from Dr.Mac, so as you can imagine i'm anxious to get this tank filled...

I agree, the 125 is perfect (long and somewhat shallow, not too narrow). It seems like we've been saving up money forever to get it... No megaflows, it's not drilled... call me crazy but I like being able to view the equipment at all times.

You could always do the overflows in clear glass.

Your tank is going to have to be trucked in, it will not come ups or fedex (as it's over there weight and size limit). The trucking co will call you the day before. and you will need help getting it from the truck to the house also, they will not help you unless you tell them first and that will cost another $150. for an extra person.

DSB- the tank is supposed to be delivered directly by the company since it's local, and the delivery charge has been paid for.

I agree that Chris has the best price--I was originally planning on getting a smaller tank, but he gave my co-worker a quote for the 125 which I couldn't pass on... Hopefully it'll work out and I won'd regret taking the cheap route

That's good. Shipping one of those is a killer! But I guess that's bad too, that means you should have your tank. Good luck, I have a 125g, almost made the mistake of getting a 90g. I think I paid around the same as you too, so I just had to get it.
I don't have mine drilled either. (later)
I use a DIY CC skimmer 4" X 7' and a few good PHs in the tank.
