Interceptor, anyone?

I just discovered the dreaded red bugs on one of my acros, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the treatment or if they have any interceptor on hand (if not, I figure I will have to bribe my vet for some). Any imput/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Much thanks,
Kayla

I have some. What is your total volume of water in your tank and filtration?

Awesome! I have about 50 gallons of total water volume and run an Aqua Medic Turboflotor Multi skimmer, carbon, and (of course) LR for filtration.

Thanks,
Kayla

PS - Will you be at the meeting on Wednesday?

Well, I start school tomorrow, but I would like to meet you soon because I want to start the treatment asap. Do you have any plans to go near the Gwinnett Mall? I could meet you at the Aviarium or somewhere around there if that works for you. The closest LFS to me is the Petland in Duluth, but that might be too far of a haul for you.

If you have a more ideal spot, please let me know.

Thanks again,
Kayla

I've read that it pretty much kills other crustaceans as well, are you putting in a quarantine tank instead of display, I'd hate for it to kill everything in your LR you paid dearly for.

I have heard mixed reports about the crustaceans--some say all will die, others say none. I would quarantine the acros, but a few have encrusted onto the LR and would be nearly impossible to remove. I do hope to manually remove as many of my shrimp, crabs, etc as possible, as I am aware of the potential (likely) loss.

Thanks again for the help,
Kayla

Under the Wave works great. Is tomorrow ok? I could meet up anytime in the afternoon after about 5:30 PM (later the better to avoid traffic for both of us).

Thanks again,
Kayla
