Ich!!!


Well I just bought a new Coral Beauty Angel, and apparently it had ich. Now my hippo tang had it too. Im a noob so i need all the help i can get on what to do. All i have is a 7 gallon lying around empty. Thanks for the help in advance.

By some Metronidazole. If you can catch them, do a Paraguard dip.

Metronidazole is, but I don't think that Paraguard is. That is why it is better as a dip or in a QT/Hospital tank.

Of course garlic and Vitamin C help the fish fight it off naturally.

Make sure you are not running carbon when you add medications.

I dont know how quick they can cure themselves, but they are fine today no spots anymore. Im thinking maybe they just rub against the rocks while they sleep. and i jumped to conclusions. but it looked like white marks on there sides... i dont know but ill keep a close eye on them.
