How's the Atlanta Aquarium coming along?

Its been a long time since I've heard anything about the Atlanta Aquarium. I try to avoid driving downtown if at all possible, so I haven't had the opportunity to see the progress on the project.

Has anyone heard or seen anything lately?

JJ

It's definitely moving along construction-wise. You can see it taking shape out of the ground. I used to work where I could look out of my window and see the site and it took forever it seemed to see columns rise out of the ground. The foundations I'm sure are very impressive!
BTW, how are they going to make 5 million gallons of salt water? Do you get that trucked in or rail it in? That's a whole lot of buckets of salt!

I believe if you find The World Congress Center on Marietta and go just west past Centennial Park on Luckie, you will notice the construction.

"Natural Sea Water"...that makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking. The only thing that come to mind was "North Sea Water". Definetly a shorter haul.

I went to the Tennessee Aquarium a few months ago and saw that they are builder a new Salt water addition. The lady that was talking about it said that it will open in the spring of 2005 and that they will use NSW for the water. she might have been wrong but it doesn't sound like it much more to ship in NSW than salt.

Awesome... I didn't realize it was going to be open so soon. 2005!

Think they'll offer to give reef club members a "behind the scenes" tour??
