home made FOOD


i was reading the this mounths TROPICAL FISH HOBBYIST and saw an artical for homemade fish food. does anyone do it here?

i think its called blender mush. What you do is get some silversides, Garlic (selcon is one brand thats good), Mysis, Squid (uncooked supermarket kind), Shrimp (the uncooked supermarked kind, but be sure to peel their shells off), and if you want maybe add some flake/ pellet, or some brine. Put all this in a blender and turn it on. Pour it all into a big zip loc and put it in your freezer for it to freeze/harden. The next day break a small piece off, thaw it (just let it sit on the counter for a few minutes) then feed it to your fish.

It will nasty up a blender and the kitchen will stink too. But it does all clean up and it's good food. Fish go crazy over it.

yes they do i hand feed my tangs last night for the first time!!!!! i am feeding homemade at 12:00 and brand name stuff at 8:00
