The weekly class newsletter that gets sent home on fridays had a brief paragraph.
"We have a visitor that we would like to welcome to our class. Since his arrival on Monday morning, Godzilla has provided a lot of excitement for our children. Godzilla is a saltwater crab who likes to hide from us except at feeding time. Please ask your child to tell you about this amazing animal. Thank you, Hawke Kuehne, for sharing your pet with us. We hope that you will allow Godzilla to visit with us for a long while."
I know Hawke was very proud of this. It sure beats the standard goldfish bowl most classes have. I stongly urge any parent to contact their school and see how you might be able to share a little bit our your hobby with your childs class. You never know it could be the makeing of future reefers.
If I can get over the fear of it all I might see If I can setup my Minibow Nano in his class for a day or two. I could actually let all the pre-K classes come in and give them a short story about the
Nano reef and it's inhabitants.
