Glass Shield for HQI Retrofit

For those who have used retrofit HQI systems, where have you gotten glass shields from?

Also what kind of glass do you use?
I know it needs to be tempered because of the temperature of the bulb, but are there any other specifications?

I just use regular ole tempered glass. can't remember of the name of the guy who I had make it. Call a glass company in your area with dimensions and they should be able to get it for you.

I'm not sure picture glass is tempered, but a framing store can certainly make you a piece to any dimensions.

You want to make sure you get the UV glass. Most of the picture framing stores do carry it but you have to ask for it.

Its, tempered glass with Low E. Any glass shop can get it for you.
