Glass scraper recommendations/suggestions?

Wondering what y'all use to scrape calcerous algae off your glass tanks. Prefer something not too expensive, but if there's something out there that is just the best hands down, I'd like to know about it. Thanks!

Kent, as well as other companies make "blade on a stick" type of scrapers. they work great and allow you to keep your hands out of the tank .

Use a razor blade, but just bought a Kent Super Scraper. Should get it Tuesday, but until then can only say that I have heard a lot of good things about it.

The razor blade works great when used with an Aquaglove (needed so that my clownfish doesn't bite me while scraping), but my hand cramps before I get done. The Super Scraper has a wider scraping path and a good handle, so I hope that it will help.

I epoxied a single edge razor blade to a plastic stick.....a makeshift scraper, but it works well for me. When it is dull, just snap it off and re-glue another.

As it seems many have found out, it seems like none of the commercial scrapers work as good as a regular razor blade. I use the 4in wide blades to cover more area. I use the holder/handle that you can get at Depot as well. You can't really reuse the blades, as they rust quickly. I use aqua gloves for the exact same reason as StanfillReef- **** I hate that clownfish!

I personally just use a small peice of acrylic. its 2in by 3in, as long as the cuts on the edge are 90 degrees it will work very well. plus you can press are hard as you like and not have to worry about scratching the glass. something that I could probably pull off with a razor blade :-).
