FYI from the Aqaurium
Tonight the CBS Evening News will be featuring our Vet Clinic, showing that there is more that happens behind the scenes of the Georgia Aquarium. They documented the medical check up of Nico and Gasper and will give an update on their health. The show begins at 6:30pm, and the segment should be on towards the end of the program. It will be around 2 minutes long.
A similar segment will also air tomorrow morning on the CBS Early Show. It will also feature Nico & Gasper, as well as, a procedure on one of our wobbegongs and the arrival and pit-tagging of our new Napoleon Wrasses. This segment will be around 2 1/2 minutes long.
This project has been in the making for more than 3 months. Our vet clinic and the wonderful work we are doing here will be shown on two national TV shows. This type of exposure is priceless. It truly is a great example of community involvement, teamwork and how the Georgia Aquarium is striving to achieve one of its major goals…to be a leading facility for aquatic animal conservation and research.
