Really nice tank. I like how you have left a sandy area on one end, just as I woudl do it if my tank size allowed for it.
I have a question about your sand bed and also how long youve been running this system. It looks really clean against the glass, do you try and scrape the glass below the sand surface? Also, it looks like its not too deep, and wanted to know if you have any type of maintenance schedule for your bed other than keeping clean up critter populations at a good level. Have you ever had any cyno problems where you sand comes in contact with your rocks?
Thanks,
Dustin

It looks like you have a pretty deep sand bed (like me). So how do you keep it white down below? Mine is not like that and I don't clean it.
Is that a bubble tipped anenome front center of the reef?
I really like all the sand.
Great photo!

looks like a 90 to me?
I might pile all my rock on one side of my new 90 to cover up my nasty looking overflow. Tank looks great...

Thanks for the nice comments
And to answer a few questions:
Yep, 90 gallon with the rockwork covering the built in overflow.
As for cyno? A little here and there at all times but not enough to talk about, it usually is in small spots where pieces of rock touch the glass.
As to the sand area at the front of the tank? I have a little helper she is in the picture, a Gold stripe Maroon Clown and she constantly stirs the sand bed at the front by the Bubble tip anemone. Also I just use my fingers to stir up the nasty reds and browns that form there about once a month.

Mike, The tank looks awesome. I have to agree on the Ceriths and the nassarius for the DSB. They work wonders on keeping the sand clean. The Ceriths will spawn as well, adding little helpers all over the place too.
Have your Ceriths Spawned yet?

That is a very clean looking tank. Have you always had a clean-up crew that big? I'd think that many snails in a 90 would starve them, but maybe I have just completely under-estimated what is needed.
I like the BTA position. I'm struggling with finding a place for mine in the 75 that doesn't result in a coral getting stung. Seems like if I move him just a few inches over, he manages to stretch those tentacles that much farther. Almost to the point of letting him go... but he's a favorite of people who visit.
As for circulation, that looks like 2 MJ1200's in addition to your return. Did I miss anything?

Thanks for the reply.
I also have a gold stripe maroon clown and she can be a real pita.
If I put anything anywhere near her leather knocks it off or hauls it away.
Nice looking tank.

LMAO, Finally I can share my misery with someone... PAM
My gold stripe maroon carries off rocks, corals, anything 2 to 3x his size when his rose BTA decides to move about. He clears it's path continuously... PITA, you called it.......
