FS Show Size Green Hydnophora
I have a large Hydnophora for sale.
It is on a piece of live rock about 10" X 8".
The coral is about 8" in diameter and has branching growth of about 5" with smaller branches as well.
This is a very aggressive coral, and has to be seperated from other corals.
It would make a great show piece for someone with the space for it.
Make me an offer.
Cheers
Mike

They have a high light requirement, so Halides or T5's are needed.

Mobius ... don't really want to butt in on your thread but was curious if I had the same coral or not? Someone told me mine was Pavona, but it looks alot like your's, only hasn't started to branch much yet. When I got it, it was brown, but I have it right at the top of my tank now under 440W PC/actinics and it's become very green! Your input would be appreciated. Thanks. (sorry for lousy picture)

different corals if yours truly is a pavona, which it looks like in the pic, here is a lil description :
The Pavona Coral is a small polyp stony (SPS) coral, and is referred to as the Cactus, Potato Chip, or Lettuce Coral. Its common name "cactus," comes from its appearance which resembles that of a cactus. These corals form thin plates as branches that are covered with polyps giving it a fuzzy appearance. Its color varies from shades of light and dark brown to green with cream or white margins.

I grew one for many years under VHO. It was in the top half of the tank.

Kinda hard to tell from the photo, it could also be a Merulina.
If it were a Hydnophorna it would kill anything that grew near it.
They spew out a filiment on the adjacent corals and the hydno always wins in the battle.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Mike

I got a chance today to get a bit better picture taken. After looking more closely at your photos, your coral has more definite and deeper ridges than mine does. Thanks again for the response in your thread. I hope you find a good home for your friend.
