FREE TO GOOD HOME: Mandarin Dragonette, eats frozen brine

I have a female Mandarin Dragonette with very beautiful color that anyone may pick up for free. You MUST have a very established reef tank with plenty of worms and coepods for her to feed on. She will eat frozen brine, but this is not enough to sustain her. Her condition has deteriorated over the last few weeks in my tank. Part of this was because I was away on vacation, but she simply can't compete against my 6-line, gramma and hawkfish. She is slowly starving to death so I need to find her a good home soon.

I live in Lawrenceville and my wife is home during the day for pick-ups also.

Sorry all, I cleared out my PM Box. Does anyone know if you can put two mandarins in a 135 gallon?

I think Dale (phishschtick) told me the other day that he has two in his 180. Its a little bit bigger tank, but I'd think if you have enough copepods and whatnot to sustain both of them it should work. You may want to PM Dale and ask his opinion.

I do have two mandarins in my 180....they're fat and mostly happy. Even though I have plenty of food and room for them to move, one will often peck at the other one. Now they are equal in size, I am not as concerned....however, the larger one was the aggressor...so size may matter into the equation as well.

The once larger one is still the aggressor. interestingly though, is that they sleep fairly close together....maybe just a watchful eye by the aggressor.....

Bottom line is that I would expect them to fight and typically they fight to the demise of the other one...... caution is in order here.... this is even more critical especially due to it's weakened condition....
