I assume it requires hand feeding by the refering to no time?

Not so much as hand feeding but the type of feeding see the prior strings about these coral.

I've heard that they tend to do better in groups, so I'll put it beside this one that I've had for 6 months - seems to be thriving.

I would be happy to frag a piece off for you. I have had it for like 8 months and it has been a wonderful piece. Don't you let anyone tell you they can't touch air. This one has seen the air at least 3 times during my tank crash and has not effected it at all.
Just let me know when.
