Fish Room
These are photos of my fish room
http://community.webshots.com/album/121041539CyMIFW?482
The 200 gallon display tank is in a different room nearby with plumbing run through a closet to connect all 3 for 350 gallons of water. My husband recently put a 250 watt 20K metal halide over 1/2 of the 110 for frags.

Yeah kinda.
The best advise I can give to anyone, if the space is available, is to put your sump somewhere else other than under the tank. I've had it both ways and it's soooo much easier for maintenance. I have supplies, clean towels and dirty towels under by tank. I give my husband alot of credit for helping me set this up.
Rick has been wanting me to post these pictures for a while. I
had to clean the room first. It normally doesn't look this neat.

The things dreams are made of! I thought I bought a nice home until I tried to put a tank in it. Now I want to tear down walls.

Hey Rick, the basements where I live! My husband says he's gonna get more involved in the hobby so he can spend time with me. You've never seen a man so jealous of a fish tank.
But he's got a recording studio in his half of the basement.
Thanks everyone for all the compliments.
I'm really gonna enjoy putting frags in the refugium now and getting them out of the main tank. Too much clutter.
I was hoping nobody would see that dust bunny! I thought I got them all.

Don't worry Pam. Your husband's not the only one! My hubby was upset for a while when I was planning my fish room in the basement...but I planned a few little spaces for him (like a tool/workshop area) which brought him on board. He helps out on the construction stuff but has no interest in the more detailed reefkeeping part of it all. I DO find him over peering into the tank many times as soon as we get home from work, so I know he does enjoy it.
You've got a great space! I'm sure you'll run out of room before you know it.

GeoJoe,
The tray is egg crate and the table legs are 9/16" hard tubes. Not sure if Home Depot has them or something similar. I paid 3 prices for mine at a pet store. You can cut them to the height that you want and push them into the sand. Plus you can still put
low light stuff under the tray.
I actually came up with this on my own. It's amazing how creative you can be with household items.

My last sump was under my 70 gallon hex tank and required the skills of a contortionist to maintain. I am setting up a new 210 gallon tank and the sump and all the other equipment will be in the new room I am building in the garage. This should make it easier to work on and will keep the noise from the pumps out of the house. The room is more on the scale of a closet, but everything should fit. Here are some pics that I took of the room under construction. I have made further progress, but have not uploaded the new pictures yet. The electric is in, the lights are working, and I am almost done taping and spackling. This weekend I hope to get it painted and start working on the shelving.
The only downside is that I will have to go out to the garage every time I need to check something.
