My name is Joe Philipski... No one in middle school knew how to say "Phillip-Ski", like the boys name and the winter sport. So it went to Flipski, then just straight to flip. I had a friend for a short time whos AOL name was JPerk###, because his name was Josh Perkins, and he ended up dying. So I kinda took Jflip because of that.

Well here is my story. My last name is Troutt and in my family I'm the big troutt. The "a" came from a family joke where I am a big troutt. And the name abigtroutt was born and has been my screen name sever since my first computer.

I love the water and boating, we have a wakeboard boat, the model is a Mobius. I have the same issue as Chris, Mike is a very common name so every combination you can think of is usually taken and Mobius sounds kinda cool.
Great thread idea Jesse.
Cheers
Mike

Well.... Mine is a combination of two nick names that were given to me in college...
KJ: I was on a division I swim team with three Kevin's, so they had to give each of us nicknames. They just used my initials (Kevin Jessop).
As for the 2nd 1/2...
Yoda: comes from my love of Star Wars.
I have been using this same login online since the beginning, when Hotmail and Yahoo were new!

Scyre came from a magazine title. I began using this in my email addresses in the late 90's and didn't realize until a few years later that the magazine is actually spelled Scrye. I was huge into Magic, Trek, and Pokemon cards when I was younger and I wanted to see how much they were worth. That magazine is a price guide of sorts. Who ever said it wasn't worth collecting these cards was nuts. I just sold off the Pokemon collection for a little over 600 bucks, and my Magic/Trek collection has been appraised at around 7000 dollars (based on condition and completeness)

Well my hubby's screen name is REEFNECK (he said he was that and not a Redneck). He had an accident in Nov '05 and spent a lot of time recouping in bed. He found watching the tanks very relaxing and theraputic. Unfortunately, unless I took our 2 lil girls into the bedroom on occassion to see him, we barely saw him all day. So I was sort of a "Widow" to the reef tank (take off on Golf Widow, etc).

Mine comes from my lifestyle. I'm always relocating. I was born in Columbus Ga, moved to St. Pete, to Tallahassee, to Denver, to Roanoke Va, back to Denver, to Macon and almost Pittsburg Pa. Im also in my 4th house in the Macon area. For one reason or another, I'm always moving. From what I hear from my boss, they might want to move me again. The 37 comes from the age I was when I signed on to this website. So now you know the rest of the story.

goodfortune is a play on my last name. A few years back, I was searching for a screen name for a college FB bowl contest that I entered with my then roommate and some other guys. When I was struggling for a screen name, my roommate suggested that I use "goodfortune".
I ended up liking that name so much that I've been using it as my online alias ever since....

akula pronounced a-cool-a

I am an ex submariner and have had "dealings" with these bad boys back during the cold war. used to serve on US fast attack subs sent to find these guys.
use the name because it is always available for a screen name due to the unique spelling
