Emerald Crab


ok people how big are these critters suppose to get. I have one in my tank I just realized has grown to the size of a silver doller.

That's big. I vaguely remember reading that 2" was full grown.

I've seen some big ones. There's a thread in the Mantis shrimp forum on Reef Central from a guy who has had some really huge ones. (Hope that doesn't offend anyone. I mean we all use as many discussion boards as possible to learn as much as we can.)

Alicia, I don't think any of us have a problem checking other boards. I beleive educating oneself in this hobby is critical, especially if the advice from your local sources are questionable.

I have one in my tank that got big FAST!
I had lots of algae when I put him in, but now my algae is under control he seems to have hit a growth plateau. He has been in my tank about 7 months.
I have not had any issues with him disturbing any other tank mates.
