Education Donation

Reposted for Eric Mau -

Come on - lets support Eric and Marine Biology education - clean out your closets and see how we can help him (he will be at the trip this weekend):

Hey Steve,

I went to school yesterday and thought about things i could use to help teach my students and improve my program.

buckets of salt
lights for 55 gallon tanks
sump/refugium
sand (live or dead)
rock (live and dead)
large protein skimmer
pump around a mag9
powerheads (i have a couple already)
tanks over 10 gallon will be used in the classroom, 10 gallon tanks will be given to students

advice on plumbing, (none of my tanks are drilled) i have tons of tubing

fragging tray
fiji gold or live rock supplements

If anyone has left over freshwater gear they don't need, i could use that as well, such as air pumps, filters and gravel.

I am also looking into getting reciepts for donations, for tax purposes.

Please include my website www.ericmau.net so people can get a look.

Thank you so much, the club has been a huge help.

Peace

e mau

I don't know what you are after in a fragging tray, but I have a piece of black plastic grid that you are welcome to take. Perhaps you can pick it up when you get the frags I have for you.
JLMK,
Jim

I'll be home tonight by the way

I have a couple of wet drys for a 75 or so. They are brand new never had water in them but they are cracked so they will need some acrylic glue and a sheet of acrylic. Ive got them here at the house with some other things just pm me about all of that. Ive got several air pumps, powerheads, smaller heaters and more stuff Im sure.

Eric, I still have frags available for you, if you are interested. I also have some freshwater hardware for your class.

i would like to thank everyone that has helped transform my classroom. it has been really rewarding to see how many people have donated items and sold me stuff at reduced rates to make my classroom really something special. several people have also provided helpful advice. it is exciting to see the look on the students faces when they first walk into my room, or the questions and excitement they create over a new coral in one of the tanks. they are wanting to learn more and behave better because they are interested. some things we think of as common, like xenia, they find fascinating. it is easy to teach them to respect living things and their habitats when they are surrounded by them. several people have helped alot but i cannot believe the time and energy that Bill Fischer has spent to make it all happen. he and i have spent a couple long night plumbing this system out. words cannot describe how generous Sally Densmore has been with all her donations, i'm keepin her and her family in my prayers. Stephan and Jimbeau have also been very helpful with donations and i really appreciate their generosity. ya'll have done something wonderful to help someone you don't even know, my students, and i would like to send a thank you from them also. the shindells, danny, dave and simon have helped in many ways and i would like to thank you for your continued support.
at first i wasn't really sure i could do it, with lack of funds and unpredicatable students, but i am really impressed with all the help and general coolness of the arc members and reefers in general, thank you again, you have made a difference in life of a child.
peace,
eric mau
