dialup beware

I picked these two little guys up this weekend. So far they haven't shown aggression towards each other, but if they do, I will not hesitate to move one. However, if they do not turn out to be a pair, I believe the 180 is big enough to accomodate both of their territories.

Are those pearly jawfishes. I've been looking for them for the last 2-3 weeks. Where did you get them from?

Yeah, got 'em at Marine Fish. They are helfrichi firefish. They're a deepwater species prone to jumping out of open-topped tanks. Once they settle in and find a dart hole to go in when they are startled, they are less likely to carpet surf. It also helps to have a mellow tank.

yup, the 180 is up and running. Thanks again.
My full tank shots kinda suck right now, since I don't have all my corals in there yet. A
lot of them are chilling in a 40 breeder till I get motivated to move them over.

Here's a decent one, you can see it's still pretty barren. The goal ultimately is to have less corals, but grow them bigger. I'm kinda tired of the overcrowded-bonsai-coral-fruit-stand look, which all my old tanks resembled.

The corals have also browned out from both the move and lighting change. They'll recover though.

Here's another little fella that isn't encountered too often, Starki damsel. These guys are absolute wimps, not befitting of the damsel reputation:

And lastly, my juvie emperor, who has been a model reef citizen thus far:

I apologize to the dial-up folks. I tried to make the total file size as small as possible while still maintain a big pic.

Nhan,

They were $99 each, but they sold them as a pair for $150. And that was before the 20% ARC discount! I couldn't pass it up.

That is not bad at all. Live Aquaria list them for $189 each + shipping.

Thanks all! Glad you liked the pics, I hope they were not too big. Got to go and empty the skimmer cup now.
