coral group buys
Are there any people planing to do any group buys anytime soon? I would really like to be apart of one. It seems like you end up with such a better deal that way. Razor Coral gives us a pretty good deal on Powerbuys. Also seacrop as a good selection of corals. We should really do one.

I have about zero room for new corals (until I sell/trade/lease the ones I have), but I sure would like a derasa clam or 2 (nobody's supplier in town seems to be getting them), if that's a possible part of the purchase.

I tried to put together a group buy on some LPS a few months back there wasn't much interest. Once the new tank is setup I'll be ordering a few things. Maybe we can split shipping.

Have you checked Cap Bay? He's da clam man of da ATL, I'd be real surprised if he didn't have any. There are a few stores around that have some 2" to 2.5" baby derasas from ORA's farm in the Marshall Islands, I'd name one but I can't.

I know that The Aviarium in Duluth has a small derasa clam as of yesterday when I was there.

Chris at Atlanta aquaria did an awesome group buy last year, I got a pink birdsnest and a mirulina for 70.00 total.
The birdsnest would sell for that and I haven't seen a mirulina like mine for sale so I don't know what it would run...
Talk to him, I am game at the sub 40.00 range

Yeah! It was fun last time as we didn't know what we were going to get. I talked to Chris couple months ago and he was more than happy to offer us that deal again. We can buy whole box(es) of Softies, box(es) of SPS's, or box(es) of more colorful SPS's. Each box contain 15-20 corals and we, neither does Chris, know what will be in the boxes. We will have to come up with a system to determine who gets what. However, the price was so great that I didn't think anybody complained what they got last time. It was average out about $18-$20 for a softy and $20 -$22 for a SPS, and THESE ARE NOT FRAGS. It is a great way to stock up a new or empty reef tank. If we have enough interests, I'll talk with Chris to see if we can do it again.
I'll take 4 Softies.

That would be awesome. I couldnt do sps but softies would be awesome. So how many is that now like 5-6 people. How could we do this system to see who gets what? Lets really do this, it sounds promising.
