I did a lot of freediving and snorkling when I went on my honeymoon to the Cayman's. The reefs are awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love seeing the corals in their natural state. We are going to Hawaii for our 1 year anniversary and I am getting my Scuba Cert before I go. I have snorkled there before and it was beautiful. When I go to the ocean I love to take pics. There my prize. It is hard to get a nice shot but it is fun to try!

My best friend and I just recently got back from Panama City. We were actually able to make a DVD. He bought a used underwater mini DV video camera that we used. I was really surprised at how well it turned out. It is not 1080i or anything like that, but it was very clear. The software, while time consuming, was very easy to use and the DVD came out great. I was surprised at the amount of corals and other marine life that can be found off the coast of Panama City.

I am pretty sure collection of any marine invert requires a collection license.

You should have a Florida saltwater fishing license if you are going to collect fish in florida. You also need it for the collection of inverts and I always purchase or updated my saltwater license prior to making a collection trip. You can check the link given in the earlier post on recreational harvesting for marine species.
