chiton or limpet larval stage
Anyone have any pics or links to pics of the larval stages of chitons and/or limpets? In addition to the mystery snail I also have some bizarre critters bobbing along the bottom of the beatiful briney. They are about 2mm x 1mm and look like a brown miniature version of a partially unrolled scroll manuscript. As they get a little bigger they develop what looks like a flat rounded tail that sticks up as if they were trying to capture something. Looks similar to a manatee's tail. They are mobile but do not swim.
