Chiller needed

Well, after getting through last summer/fall without the need for a chiller, I am wondering if I am going to have to add one this spring/summer. No matter what I can do, I can't seem to keep my 65 reef tank below 82 or so---and this is before any really hot weather has even occurred. Last year, I was able to keep it at 79 or below by putting fan in the sump, opening up the covers, etc. Now, though, I seem to be losing the temp. battle, and seemingly evaporating twice as much water as before.

2 questions:

1) is anyone locally selling a chiller right now?

2) If I have to buy a new one, I've seen several online places selling the Current USA "Prime" and JBJ "Arctica" 1/10 hp units in the low $300s. Anyone know if there are local vendors for either of these, or have recommendations for others to be considered?

I do have one that I used to use but don't now, but it would be major over-kill for your tank.

My suggestion would be to find a small used one as opposed to getting one of the tiny ones. Check out some vendor websites or store links and you'll find charts sizing the chiller for your needs. The 1/10 ones may be a bit small for say 3 degrees & your tank size, not to mention if you upgraded, you'd need to get another chiller. When I got mine, I wanted to make sure it was large enough to handle the next larger size (my tank is a 180 gallon).
