An interesting calculator but he really doesn't state what tests he preformed to check the calculations or where he got his data from othe than a vauge reference.

Also it really doesn't take into account the current calcium usage that is happening in your tank while you are doing the additions.

In theory a bare tank would need a whole lot less to reach the targeted levels compared to a tank full of LR and SPS corals.

It was an interesting calculator but nothing beats the maufactures directions and a good test kit.

This calculator might help assist someone in makeing a decision on which addative to use.

I think that if you use it like I did last night, you wil see if your reading is A and your desire is B then based upon that the chemistry that your using then you get C. Looking at it I think that he is somewhat following the directions but more likely following what the chemistry is.

Following the mfg directions may not get you what you want either. Lets say using B-Ionic direction of 1 ml per 4 gallons may not getting the disired results. You test your your water and your ALK is down and you CA is up then by using this tool you have a pretty good idea what your feed will need to be to correct the issue.

I put this up as another tool that is available and simple to use. You may choose to use it or not. But that aside, I have e-mailed him your questions so it will be interesting if he replies and what he says.
