Bryopsis Algae?

I did not want to highjack Mr. Lloyds thread but several of you refered to bryopsis as being a nuisance algae.

What does it look like? I bought a clam from Mr. Lloyd with some dark brown algae growing on the shell. Is that it?

It's not brown, it's green or at least mine was green. Either was I would pull the clam out and scrub it off with a tooth brush. Here is a link to a picture of it. http://www.reefs.org/hhfaq/pages/pic..._bryopsis.html
