brittle starfish is it dying ?

hi. i have a brittle star fish. i came home and have babies all over the place. but now the starfish is in the corner and looks like it is eating itself. half it's body is missing and the water has now gone all cloudy. plus a couple of weeks ago my tang died for no reason and today a green chromis and another died. please is it poisoning the water or is this normal ?

Sounds like something is definitely wrong if you're loosing fish and inverts...I would pull the star...once they start to "fall apart" they are doomed...what are your water params?

most is ok except nitrates now are quite high. went and got 25 litres salted to do a water change and they sold me some pads to put in me filter to get ridd of it. water has cleared up now and the rest of the fish seem fine. think it musy have been the starfish. seemed to be eating utself in the end although half it's body had broken apart. well weired
