Best paint for inside canopy?

I'll be pulling my canopy off my tank this week in order to paint the inside white, add some reflectors, and fit it with two 4' VHOs (replacing the 2X96W PC's). What would be a good high-gloss paint to use that would coat well and dry fast enough to make it a one-evening job? The inside is unfinished oak veneer plywood. Can I just use high-gloss spraypaint?

i just used a high gloss spray paint but then gave the whole thing a couple of coats of spray polyurethane to give it a good moisture seal. works wonderful.

How long does the clear coat take to dry?

i am doing this now...
oak is very pourus, you will need to sand it before and after you paint it, then clear it if you want a real good shine...personaly i would clear with at least 3 coats and sand lightly between them...

the stuff I used is called helmsman spar urethane made by minwax. It takes 24 hours before use, and is available at pretty much any hardware store and @ walmart

i use a water base because of fast drying time and easy clean up...
