At what speed do you surf?
I am interested in learning at what connection speed most hobbyists hook up to the Internet? I am launching a site soon and it will be a rich media visit , with video and Flash animation.
The problem is there is such a gap between dial up and even a slow DSL connection, that designing a site for both the slow visitor and the fast one is becoming a dilemma the question is :
What speed is typical?
4KB/s.......... 35KB/s ....or 100KB/s
Thanks jeff

Bandwidth calculation is measured against that of CNET's Internet Services. Bandwidth may be higher or lower depending on Internet congestion. Calculated tests do not reflect server reliability and speed.

Jeff,
Your best bet is going to be to build for both. If you want a flash intensive site, you can have a link to an html site as well. There are still a lot of people out there with dial-up. Once you have the flash site built, an html version is a piece of cake.
