Aquabuys
Hey all, I had an experience with a local vendor, and just wanted to post about it. You usually see people post when they are unhappy, but I have been more then satisfied with the service, so I thought I would post about it.
While Aquabuys is not a Sponsor, they are a commercial member.
About 7 months ago I purchased a ballast from Aquabuys. Last weekend I had a problem with it; it no longer fired the bulb. It was a 70 Watt Ballast I use to fire my HQI Halide on my work nano. Not something you are going to find a replacement for anywhere else in town.
I called Aquabuys, and they confirmed it was still under warranty, they then set one aside for me to take it out of stock so that they would be sure to have one when I came buy. They handled the warranty replacement themselves, no need to even call the manufacturer. The price was amazing, the customer service was unbeatable, and they are local to us.
We are lucky to have someone so close that can provide us with internet prices and also goes the extra mile to provide customer service. Usually when you place internet orders the service is something you sacrifice, or the vendor is so far away there is ship time. I couldn't imagine having to ship the ballast out and then someone having to ship one back. With just a car ride I was able to receive retail style customer service, and good customer service at that.
If there is equipment you're looking for online keep this in mind and check out their site. If they have what you're looking for you can get internet prices with customer service right in Lawrenceville.

I agree as well; I've bought quite a few items from Sam. His prices are excellent, and he goes out of his way to provide good customer service. Also, it doesn't hurt that he is hobbyist who enjoys reefkeeping as much as the rest of us .

They don't have a retail store front, however you can order online and select local pickup. There warehouse is in Lawrenceville.

yea, i just got into doing reefs about 8 weeks ago, i found there website, and started buying stuff from there, sam is a great guy, very knowledgible and helpful. I would recommend aquabuys over any other store/online store in the area.
