April Meeting --- Nano setup and door prize!

You herd it correctly --- A Nano Reef setup demonstration and door prize for the April 13th meeting.

The Atlanta Reef Club is very excited to announce a Nano Reef setup demonstration for the April meeting and in the end we will give the Nano setup away as a door prize This will be a complete setup with all the equipment included. Along with that it will be stocked with LR and a few beginning corals. So if you have ever wanted a nice Nano setup come to the April meeting and maybe you will be the lucky winner. Read on for all the details:

Tuesday April 13th at 7:30 pm.
Eden Gardens Of Sandy Springs
Address: 5399 Northland Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
Phone: (404) 252-7990

Map link for Eden Gardens

The agenda for the meeting will be a hands on, how to demonstration on setting up a Nano Reef tank. This will include a stylish Minibow 7 tank, 32watt retro lighting, filters, heaters, digital thermometer ect......

Also included are all the soft items such as salt, hydrometer, test kit ect.....

Of course a Nano setup demonstration would not be complete unless it included substrate, LR and a few beginning corals

This will be a totally complete system with an estimated value at over $400. Even a newbie with no current saltwater equipment at home could win this and jump start their new hobby.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now for the details on how to win this as a door prize.

Only current ARC members will be eligible. You must be a member PRIOR to April 13th 2004 (not eligible if you join the night of the meeting). So if you haven't already --- join now to become eligible to win this fabulous door prize. You must be present to obtain a door prize ticket and to win the Nano setup. The winning ticket will be drawn after the demonstration at the conclusion of the meeting.

Also realize that if you win this setup it will be a long night for you. At 9:30 pm we will break the system down and pack it for transportation. This will take approx 1 hour. Once you get home you will need to set the system back up which will also take approx 1 hour. So as you can see your night won't end till probably sometime after midnight. Please don't ask us to rush this process. We want this system to be successful and survive the transportation.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a very exciting idea that the ARC Board of Directors has come up with for a fun and informative meeting along with making one person a really happy reefer.

Hope to see you there and GOOD LUCK.

This kicks butt. Sounds like a great meeting next month.

Charles, did the Nano SIG already do the how to make a top-off meeting? I was following that for a while, then didn't hear anything more on it.

Bravo!

And it's not too far from home. The Nano should have no problems *when* I win.

Just to clarify --- The April meeting was originally scheduled at Capachino Bay but that meeting agenda needed to be postponed until a future date.

So we the BOD had to punt really quick like and came up with this wonderful idea. There is only one meeting on April 13th. It is this Nano setup/door prize meeting and will be located at Eden Gardens.

Sorry for any confusion (we'll get the website updated asap).

An alternate route would be to get off on the Roswell Rd. Exit off of 285. If going 285 West, take a left off of it. If 285 East, take a right off of it. You'll know you're going the right way if you pass the Prada on your right after a little less than a quarter mile. I believe keep goin on Roswell Rd. until you hit Franklin, and then continue with the Yahoo map. Hope this helps!!

Dang, I need some frags, but I have to resetup my tank and move it so I am gonna wait before I start restocking corals again. Save me some of the blue tips though.

Could you post the notes after the meeting about how everything was setup, maintenance etc... about the nano. I've been thinking about trying a nano and it doesn't look like I will make it to this meeting
