Anyone know how to fix calc reactor?

I have a Knop HD reactor and the fitting at the base where the eheim pump goes in is cracked. I didn' t know if silicone would hold or if I needed to try and find some kind of fitting I could put in its place. The problem is that it is right at the bottom where the acrylic tube connects. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Richard

Post a picture of the beak if you can. DO NOT use silicone on acrylic/pvc....lets see the break then we can advise from there.

Andy,

Thanks for the reply. I forgot I had an old reactor in the attic. It had the proper fitting, but had been broken. I removed the fitting and now I just have to attach it. It seems to be a pvc type fitting that goes into a small hole at the bottom of the reactor, it then connects to a true union and then to the pump. I'd like your opinion on how best to attach it, I don't think silicone would work, I do think pvc glue would work but I want to be sure. I don't have another reactor to play with and can't afford another one right now. If this makes sense its a pvc to acrylic bond. Would I need pvc glue or acrylic glue?
Thanks for your help,
Richard

Seems like there is a multipurpose glue in plumbing supply sections for that, but I would defer to Andy on the answer, as it bay be better to treat the acrylic with some thickness of higher viscosity welson and use a pvcc glue on the fitting. Seeing the picture of the break will help a lot.
