Any nano systems for sale?

My friend is looking into starting a nano reef, however budget is limited. Does anyone have a tank system between 7 and 12 gallons that they would like to get rid of? Any components (lighting/heater/filtration/etc) would be great.

Also, if anyone has extra liverock and/or sand they could part with, please let me know.

Thanks,
Kayla

well i have a ten gallon setup with lights and all live rock and sand etc. but the thing is the tank kinda crashed a while ago
and i havent had the time to take care of it... theres a bunch of algae on the rocks but nothing a few crabsa and snails couldnt eat up fast. it has 32 watts of PC from a corralife aqualight fixture, and also a 2X9 watt PC light and also a 19 wattt 6500k screw in pc. i can give you a bag of salt free too, its half used but still plenty left. a filter and 2 powerheads. make me an offer...

Nishant3789: Cool. If she just wanted the tank and lighting (not the liverock or sand) could that work? I think I have convinced her to buy the Tampa Bay Saltwater package, unless we fiound a great deal on LR. Also, what kind of filter is it? I will ask her about this.

sitnlowdown: That was actually the system we were considering, but I wanted to post here first.

Thanks,
Kayla

Maybe some pics would help. I don't doubt your LR is fine, it's just that the word crash kinda makes me worried. I want her to experience all of the great hitchikers and such, which was why I recommended Tampa Bay Saltwater LR because it is shipped underwater, and everything "doesn't die." But you know better than I do its condition...

Also, what type of filter is it you are running?

Thanks

well basically its like uncured rock if you want to think of it that way... the sand has lots of pods and worms and stuff. but i would reccomend maybe mixing some of the rock? its not much maybe like 10 lbs so you could easily add more rock. the filter is just a HOB 100 gph filter. also has 2 powerheads... i dunno how much to ask for...does 150 seem a bit high?

Not exactly a "nano" Nano-Reef, but I have a 20H RR reef.

It's loaded w/ corals, around 10+ different types,( Daniel, I still intend on going through on the trade). There is around 25 LBS. LR, which is very, very beautiful coralline encrusted. There is also 20 LBS. LS. All this is loaded w/ live critters and has plenty corraline.

The system also has 2 clownfish( 4 yr. old). Also included are plenty of inverts and my system is basically void of "bad" algea.

As for equiptment, it's 'loaded'. There is plety good filteration.
It' has an Filter/ Skimmer( Not a Skilter). Forgot the exact brand, but it is a great filter, maybe overpowered for a 20, as it's rated for up to a 75G.) There is a HOB Aquafuge. It's the 12" model. Full of pods, caluprea, and many other macrofauna. Also includes a 13w "fuge" light. As for lighting on the main system, there is a CSL 2x65W(50/50 setup).

Also, there are tons of misc. equiptment( test kits, bulb, food, etc...) that is included. I may have forgotten to add something, so fell free to e-mail me for pictures or additional information.

Alex122488@aol.com

And as for a asking price, 250 O.B.O would be acceptable.

Wow that sounds AMAZING! I will talk to her about it. I'm sure she'd love this.

The problem is she goes to another house during the summer and so she wanted a small tank so that she could bring it to my house for me to care for it (we live 10 miles away). Is there any way this could work, because your tank sounds phenominal!

I emailed you.

Thanks,
Kayla
