Any idea why my red cap would lose its color?

One of my largest caps (red) is slowly loosing its color after probably 1-2 years. It is getting lighter, not bleaching, and no other cap is effected. No change in lighting or parameters. No new additions, and all SPSs and clams doing well.

Any ideas?

Have you checked it at night? Maybe something is bothering it then?

If your lamps are old they may be losing par, If you have or can barrow a PAR meter that would be what I would check.

I was thinking that too, although the other caps are not effected, and are actually growing well right next to the red -- (green, brown, purple). It is about 8" from a 400W bulb.
