The anemone in that photo is not bleached. There's no such thing as bleach spots ... either it has expelled its zooxanthellae or it hasn't. That is a good looking specimen, and from your photo, its zooxanthellae are intact. If it had expelled, it would be white - which is NOT a healthy colour for E. quadricolor.

It may darken up alittle more, but that BTA looks fine. Be very careful unattaching it from that rock.

IMA that I have the same type of anemone and it has those white speckled marks on it too, I've had mine for well over a year and a half now and has quadroupled in size. I bought it with those marks on it and I think its just part of the flesh pattern. Noo worries for that guy, he looks in great health.

Okay now im a little more educated on them. I bought mine like that aswell. Mine didnt grow very much until my tomato clown started hosting it, that was about 6 months ago. Now it has trippled in size. He is feeding it alot more that I was.

growth really depends on how much light you give them as well as spot feeding. If you were to feed it silversides or formula 1 cubes every other day, it would explode in size, but if you leave it alone and it only gets what ever food floats its way durring feeding it'll grow at a much slower rate.

There are lots of different colour morphs of this animal. Some are brown, some are green, some are orange or red (rose anemones). Some have a brown column and green oral disc/tentacles. Some have tips bulbed, some don't and some bulb occasionally.
The morph you got had white speckles in the tentacles - I had a few like that in one particular shipment. IMO it was a nice morph. I've seen green ones with similar speckling too. Most often they are a solid colour.
