i was running PC lighting befor, and pretty much everyone says that you should lessen the exposure time and raise the halides to properly acclimate your fish and corals to the new intense lighting. Maybe it's sittin at 1'5" either way tho, it's not rest a few inches above the water. Then again I'am new to this whole MH deal, so maybe I'm being too carefull?

I would just go with raising the light. What lamp did you use? I found a nice Tensor Engineers style lamp I put mune in, I love it. If needed I can raise the light very easily to acclimate a new coral, etc.

Buy the new bulb and keep that as a spare. I went with the 13K and love it. They also make a 20K bulb that fits it, I was thinking about that for next time.

Looks good by the way.
