7" (approx) Purple Cap for sale
I have a beautiful purple montipora cap to sell. It's in the water, so it's hard to measure accurately. I'm guessing it's 7" across. It's about to grow into the nearby acros and the front glass. I will cut it away from it's central base where it's attached to a rock. It will come without the central 2-3" area. Interested? Please let me know.
Note royal gramma and small shot glass for scale. The PC's just came on, so the other corals are just waking up.

Hi, folks. This has attracted more attention than I anticipated. I'll answer a few questions here rather than all the PM's I received. Hope that's OK. I received quite a few PMs. Thanks, everyone.
I'm in Duluth, GA. Unfortunately, I can't ship this. I'd need to locate and buy a styrofoam shipping container, do the fedex thing, and wouldn't be able to assure an intact live animal upon arrival.
There is some dissolution of the skeleton close to the base, so it will be easy to cut away. When it comes out, there should be some thicker material left on the base rock for a few small frags.
This is about 2 years' growth from a .75" frag. It is under a 250W DE 14K bulb with lots of flow.
I haven't sold much here and I 've never had this much interest in a for sale item, so I'm awating an answer on acceptable policy before I respond to queries. I want to be fair to all of you as well as avoid a policy faux pas. Thanks for your interest and patience. Hopefully it's new owner can take it this weekend. Then it can start to outgrow the tank all over again!

Best offer equal to or over $60 takes it. In the case of equal offers, fist to contact me wins. Winner must pick up this weekend. Hope this is equitable. Offers are accepted via pm or post.
cheers.

Why, thank you, Kullas. It pretty much dominates the tank. The tank will look odd when it's pruned back. Then we can watch it grow again!

The cap is sold. Thanks to everyone for the email and posting exchanges.
I am amazed how thick it is. I thought the skeleton had receeded near the base. I was wrong. It was just growing thicker everywhere else. It it 3/16" - 5/16" thick. I thought I'd never get it cut away - had to work for some time with a fine-tooth jigsaw blade.
It measured 10" across. Wow. Now to watch it grow back all over again!
