Bi weekly Disscusion for dec'07
Hi Gang.
as you can tell the bi weekly has not been a round too much.
so this next one is all about YOU! hehhe
what things would you all like to discuss in the 2008 year?
incase you are not sure what has alreready been talked about or would like to catch up on older discussions check out the archive section.
Here is a direct link to it.
Even if we have gone over it before, things sometimes change... so we can always go over older topics again.
So what do you want to Talk about?

Thats a good starting point, so many new reefers seem to start out with a basic tank then add more and more while changing this and that to try and make it work

maybe a discussion on the nitrogen cycle? Seems there are a lot of questions and opinions on how to cycle a tank and the curing process.

How about changes required as you change your dominant coral type from softies to sps. As it seems the natural progression in the hobby these days.

Not sure if this would really work.
But how about a topic that discuuses where certain fish and coral originate.
I think it's cool when people do tanks based on a certain area. Maybe this information is readily available somewhere. However, I've never seen it. You could research every fish and coral separately but I feel if we could come up with a list it could make for a good starting point and allow for more ideas that someone maybe did not see.

Regional Compatebility would be good, as long as people remember that within a given reef you still have a series of distinct reef zones or biotopes

Good point Doug
Maybe if we combined my idea with kelli's? Or did them back to back months?

I would love to see a thing on additives...amino acids, trace elements, organic, bacteria etc. I have noticed lately that alot more companies that have jumped on this and are producing many different things...Are they are the same? Is one better then the other, generally speaking, etc.

Foods and Feeding, this seems to be an area that causes a lot of confusion, to feed or not to feed, Coral are photosynthic RIGHT? What kinds of foods for what kinds of coral, maybe with special attention to the harder to keep non-photosynthic corals like Sun Coral, Chilis, Carnations and some of the Gorgonians, oh and the perenniel favorite, Anemones
