Bi-Weekly Discussion of the Week: Topics for Next Year!!
It is that time of year again! I would like your help in coming up with some topics for next year. They do not necessarily need to be new ones, they can be topics that might need to be updated.
Here is a link to the archives for past topics.

How about a best and worst of topic. You know, like best sucsess and worst failure type. Can always learn from others blunders. Or yall can even go kinda think tankish and do topic of softie setups, lps setups, sps setup from the ground up. Like biulding a new tank every two weeks.

ummmmm,
been thinking about it more geoff..
how about a revisit to the myths of reefing...
thinking a good refresher on lighting of all types would be good..
pros and cons of the DSB and a comparison to a SSB then a comparison to a BB.. i know a lot has been done in the think tank already but not everyone goes in there...
Come on people Tab and i can not be the only ones with ideas!

just an odd ball idea geoff,
but i have seem a lot of DYI stuff recently.. maybe it is the cold weather ?
so maybe a few DYI things like cabinets , canopies.. ie.. type of wood, why that type? the weight of everything. placement in the house ie.. basement, liviing room. support for the tanks in the house /apartment..finishes that work, water tight or water proof. or maybe how to turn that old UGF into a coat rack
Difussers just what are they? why do they work so well or not?.
an air atone in the skimmer, but an air stone in the tank?
maybe a walk throught on your skimmer too ...
i can keep this up all night

I like a back to basics thing. Covering all the topics of this hobby. Maybe one area per month. Maybe even have a forum for Back to Basics.

Mag! Mag! Mag! Mag! Mag! Comon chant with me! I like all those ideas! the back to basics forum could be neat. What about different types of food, flake vs. frozen vs. blender mush? Maybe maintence regimes? and how to streamline those regimes?

how about a talk on " Diatoms and you " " how elegant is your elegants(coral) ?"
side note:
i do like the TRT mag idea for the website as a whole. maybe have each of the mods write an article or story. i kow that would take a lot of time for each person but that could be a neat thing in the end.

that is a neat idea, some have the ability to write while others are still stuck at the 4th grade level.

I'm thinking about myths... the concensus in this hobby seems to be that sps are harder to keep than lps - I beg to differ, I think lps are a lot harder. Could be an interesting discussion.

i think the reason people belive they are harder is because of how clean the tank needs to be for sps to thrive so that i think would be a great topic good idea cat
