Live rock!
well we have touched base ( no pun intended) on the various substrates.
So to start off .....
What is Live rock any way?

Live Rock is the ultimate source of "good" bacteria growth in my opinion.

It can be. Although I think actual "live rock" from figi or whatever is coral skeletons

And it doesn't have to be rock as such. can be artificially made rock-like substance which is put into the sea to be colonised with good bacteria (the denitrifying kind....)

Hmm as conditions change in the ocean over time some corals die off and different corals take over

i always thought LR didn't have to be rock altough alot is, but more of a vessal that living organisms have developed into "homes"

The real deal isn't even ROCK at all! Is there any benefit to having the "real deal" as opposed to artificially made LR?
