probably harmless or good for the tank then? I just try to keep an eye on things in my tank since I keep having Isopods (fgish lice) show up. I killed another one this mroning. I've had to pull 3 of them off of my female Mandarin in the past month. I read on one of the web sites that if you have to remove one of these from a fish then that the fish should be quaranteened and treated to prevent infection. Unfortunately the article didn't go into detail about how or with what to treat the fish with. Can anyone shed some light on this and is it really neccessary? She's not in the best of health, she seems to have slowly lost weight since I had to remove the first isopod, I moved her to a seperate tank after I removed the second one from her so I could keep a closer eye on her. She will eat
frozen brine shrimp, frozen blood worms as well as a few live blood worms but she prefers the baby artemia that I hatch out as well as the baby peps she's getting right now.

I know she eats so I'm slightly concerned that there may be something else wrong, especially since she seems to be a magnet for the isopods. Also if she does need to be treated with something will she need to be completely quaranteened in a seperate tank, she has 3
peppermint shrimp in the same tank with her right now, and will the treatment kill off any live food that is in the tank naturally. I don't want to treat her only to starve her to death. But I do want to try and do everything I can to make her better. My other Mandarine in the main tank is doing just great, fat and sassy.
