I spent a lot of time looking into my first digicam purchase and came up with the Fuji 2600Z. I like it quite well - it comes well equipped (16 megs and NiMh w/charger) and is very reasonably priced. I also like the fact that I can give it to anyone in full auto mode and get very good pics, and I can tweak it to get good macro pics with correct color and exposure at the tank.
