Dang, I would feed him the same thing I feed mine. I feed mine shrimp, squid, brine shrimp as a treat. I like to get live ghost shrimp every now and again, and once a month or so, I like to buy clams and/or mussels, crack the shells and watch him dig through the shells. It helps keep their teeth trimmed as well.

Be careful, they are messy eaters and watch your chemistry. I use a skimmer, live rock, and a HOB filter for my puffer.

K, np. Mine will actually eat the fish mush that I make for my reef denizens but I can tell they perfer the chunks. I actually go to a local grocery store and get the fish chunks, dollar per pound. and I cut the chunks along with some shrimp and squid and cut it into bite size pieces. I put their food into little baggies with a bit of ro water and selecon and break off a chunk and thaw it out. (belive me it is easier to cut them up first). I feed them every other day with this. One day a week is brine shrimp day. And like I said one day a week is a live food, broke clam, broke mussel day. One is a starve day. I have three puffers and a wayward damsel and some crabs in their tank.
