Tang for 75g?

Well, the time has came to add a tang to our 75g reef to control macroalgae. I know in this size tank I can only have one and I'm trying to decide between a purple, red sea sailfin, or hippo tang. I was wondering if anyone could tell me their maximum size and which you think are the best at algae control. PS its great to see the board up again, I missed it. JWO

Hi JWO, long time, out of the tangs you listed RS Sailfin is good, purple I'm not real familiar with, but I thike it would be OK as would a Kole or yellow eye tang. The hippos are cool but not good grazers feeding more on planton and such than algae.

I have resisted Tangs for my 55 but my neighbor had a beautiful Naso that he was giving away and I was sorely tempted!!!!

Thanks for the replies, I'm thinking of making a trip to the Boise, ID area tomorrow and see what I can find. Doug, I tryed to get to the reeftank chat but got lost along the way. I will try again when one of my boys are here to guide the way for me. I get lost easily in the cyberjungle. Thanks again. JWO
