110 gallons, I would clear out the front from rocks and corals to give it room.

My understanding is that ray's just don't do well in captivity, not lasting long and die. For that reason alone I've stayed away from them.

Even in the public aquariums I've observed over time, the rays always have succumbed after a while.
One thing we should always rmind ourselves of: "Just because someone sells it, doesn't mean it will survive."

Even if there was a ray that would live 110 seems to small the need a shallow tank with LOTS of surface area.....

Yeah everyones going up right now, ^ , I guess because there are no tornadoes and then theres earthquakes so basements weren't really important......I do wish I had one though.....but a plus is though I was never afraid of basement monsters as a kid

there are very few stingrays that would work in a 110. they are caled stingaretts. i do not have my book with me to look them up. these stay less than 24" total length. i have yet to be able to find anybody that sells them. those that you come across in the LFS will get significantly larger than 24' and require a much larger tank than most of us have.

they also prefer a soft sand bed to burry in.

if you remind me on tomorrow when i get home i can give you more info on which ones stay small. since these are not very common i would bet that they are not cheap.

they are actually called stingarees. these are small stingrays. some are as small as just over 16". i was mistaken for tank size though. they should not be kept in a tank less than 180g.
