Need information: rare Goby!no one knows?
Happy New Year everybody!
Well I have a curiosity of a certain goby, which I cannot find ANY information on it. It is called "Discordipinna griessingeri Goby" and it is reclusive and very difficult to find. It runs for about $250 but it's looks pay off. I was hoping someone can shed some light on this goby. Thanks again!

some more info from one of my books, tiny fish 2.5cm. looks like its feeding requirements might match the mandarin. lives in the rubble zone. probably needs an extremely large pod population. i would say this would make a great fish for a species tank. at that price i would want to make sure it is going into something that would suite it. it may take a tank over 75g with a rubble substrate in order to supply enough pods for it to eat.
i am just interpolating the data i have found out about the fish and experiences with fishes of this type.

$249.99 for a small fish, that has a good chance of not making through the transition into your tank, eventhough there are beautiful, interesting, and cheaper gobies available. Hmmm....Sure go for it! I bet you eat cavier & lobster every night.

are you buying it online?
im leery of buying livestock online, especially would be leery of something so expensive. I wouldn't, but its your call! would be worth it if it lives. then you can rub it in

You shouldn't ask us if it's worth it.....I alway think to myself before buying something, "If my wife finds out how much I'm paying for this, will I be alive tommorrow to enjoy it?"

dang thats a cool fish. but without knowing what condition it is in, i would say too risky. what size tank are you putting it in? it says its reclusive, ideal for a nano. shame to pay all that money for a fish you wont see...! let us know what youre gonna do!

Will it give you the closest shave you've ever had?
Will it mow your lawn for free?
Will it wash your car every third Sunday?
Will it do your laundry and make your white clothes come out snowy white and your bath towels smell as fresh as a spring rain?
Will it cook you a 5 course meal and then hand you a fine cigar and a flask of ancient brandy when you are finished?
Will it remove dents from your car and polish away scratches?
Will it make you more attractive to the opposite sex?
