that looks like a squamapinnis. if it is the only one in the tank, then it could be changing to a male.

one of them will become dominant and change sex on you. is the one with the black tips the more dominant one? you may also see some colour changes around the gill cover area.

i would of said it is the largest one, but have no idea about more dominant as i have had them around 1 month now and they get on so well, have seen no fighting at all, and they are always shoaling together.

they will do that if the hierarchy is well set. if both parties agree that one is the boss then all is well. does one swim higher than the other? does on always seem to be following the other? just clues to help determin dominance.

those spots look well defined so i would not worry about it to much. they may actually change to orange. i will need to go look in my book when i get home to double check.

i could not find an exact match exept that it does look like a squamipinnis. they do not have the black tips though. they have an outlined tail, but not tipped. at least the pics i have, but apparantly there are many colour morphs.

different coloured tips are very common in Anthias though. so i am going to stick with my guess that she is turning into a male and nothing to worry about.
